Phnom Penh: Similar to some developing suburban areas in residential sector, Toul Pong Ror area in Dangkor district in the southern part of Phnom Penh has been attracting many developers.

The areas that once dominated by small lakes filled with water and grass in the Toul Pong Ror Market area are turned into residential areas such as Borey Mongkul Phnom Penh and many housings.

Ann Rady, director of Borey Mongkul Phnom Penh and who has invested several million dollars in the affordable housing development in the area, said that the Toul Pong Ror area became the attractive location and in the eyes of the developers because Toul Pong Ror in Dangkor district is very attractive, there are a lot of roads crossing the area, housing collection, and many people which are more favorable to the businesses that make it easy for development, a good choice for those seeking to live and investment.

“This area is not a remote area, but it is more attractive for investors to attract more attention, especially in the construction of housing. The improved infrastructure is easy to get into Phnom Penh, especially through the 60-Meter, as well as to some provinces along National Road 2, 3 and 4 that attract investment,” he said. “.

For the residential project in Borey Mongkul Phnom Penh, which is now actively under construction Mr. Ann Rady said the residential units located in the seventh project are a total of nearly 400 houses, including 400 hybrid villas and shophouses that starts from $73,000 to $200,000, depending on size and location, and all clients have opportunity to receive the return of investment in the future.

Mr. Yin Leang Kong, vice councial board director of Cambodia Real Estate Association (CREA), said that it was not unusual for development to spread to suburban areas because the suburbs have the improved infrastructure, and the land prices are affordable, so investors can profit.

“Toul Pong Ror areas as well as other areas are dramatically growing due to the population density and the increasing development of international companies, especially the region connecting the infrastructure to the city center,” he said.
