Jakarta: Donald Trump Jr., son of US President Donald Trump, arrived in Jakarta on Tuesday to market the sale of residential units in two resort projects worth $1.7 billion to be built in Indonesia.
The US president’s son is the executive vice president of the Trump Organization.
The contracts for the Indonesian projects were said to be signed by US President Trump in 2015, according to the Trump Organization.
The Trump International Resort, Golf Club and Residences Bali will be built near Bali’s famous Tanah Lot temple. The resort will have a 150-room hotel and 368 villas and condos.
Trump International Resort, Golf Club and Residences Lido will be built south of Jakarta and will be part of a satellite city. The project will a 120-room hotel, a golf course and a residential complex with 438 villas and condominiums.
The Trump Organization will partner with billionaire businessman, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, chairman of the MNC Group. US President Trump was reported to have been paid $2 million to $10 million to be involved in the project.
