CDC Approves $500M Investments in Hospitality and Energy Sectors

Phnom Penh: In response to investment requests from four companies that have submitted applications for approval, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved the registration and licensing process for two major hotel projects in Sihanoukville and the start of construction of power plants located in Kampong Chhnang, Pursat.

 

Upon the request of the companies, the Cambodia Investment Committee issued a Certificate of Registration to the following companies:

1 – “HAI GANG GRAND HOTEL CO., LTD.” A 5-star hotel construction project with 900 rooms, located in Village 6, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville Province with investment valued at $153 million.

2 – “XIGANG V-CONTINENT INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT CO., LTD”
The 5-star hotel will have 1,111 rooms located in Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville Province with an investment of $226 million and will create 1,668 jobs.

 

3- “SCHNEITEC SUSTAINABLE CO., LTD”
The project will construct a 60-megawatt solar power station located at Krakor district in Pursat province It has capital investment valued at $58 million and will create 35 jobs.

4- “SCHNEITEC SUSTAINABLE CO., LTD” The project will construct a 60-megawatt solar power station in Teuk Phos district at Kampong Chhnang province with a capital investment of $58 million.
